Paramount House is a cultural, architectural and literal cornerstone of the area of Surry Hills once known as the ‘Hollywood Quarter’. Built in 1940 in a Late Deco style, it shows how elegance can be achieved by focusing on what is essential.
Already regarded as a hub for many of Sydney’s creative businesses, the story of Paramount House is only just beginning. Alongside Golden Age Cinema & Bar, a cafe and variety of retailers are scheduled to open for business over the coming year.

Drawing upon this rich history, the former screening room of Paramount House has been carefully renovated by a bewitching collective of architects, interior designers, auteurs and furniture makers. It brings together the past, present and future to create a unique environment for people to watch films, enjoy a drink or host an event.
